About the Director

Cindy Wolff is a third generation CSUC alumni (grandmother, 1912; father, 1950). She began her higher education career at CSUC as a Biology major in 1971. She taught part-time in the Nutrition and Food Sciences Program from 1982-1984 and returned to accept a tenure track position following the completion of her PhD in 1987.

Achievements, recognitions, and contributions include the following:

  • Created the CSU, Chico Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion (CNAP) and the grant funded programs comprising the center:
    • OPT for Fit Kids
    • Sierra Cascade Nutrition Activity Consortium
    • StepFit (Pedometer Walking Program)
    • OPT for Fit Kids subcontracts: Safe Schools-Healthy Students and Families and Schools Together (FAST)
    • Evaluation Services
    • 5 A Day Power Play! Campaign
  • Obtained $7 million in grants and contracts since 2001
