Professional Training

SCNAC OfficeUpon acceptance into an internship or paid position at SCNAC, students receive in-depth training which prepares them for work in a professional setting. Topics have included the use of various computer programs (Excel, SPSS, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Professional, Quickbooks, and others), effective email communication, and work ethics.

Cultural Competency

Spanish Sugar BoardSCNAC prides itself in being a culturally sensitive organization and many programs and services are tailored for a specific ethnic group (Native American, Hmong, Hispanic, etc.). Staff are encouraged to create and use resources which are culturally appropriate for their specific target population.
